Flow Meters that Measure Diesel Fuel in Boilers – A GPI Flow Meter Application

Posted in flow meters, flowmeter supplier, gpi flow meters, oval gear flow meters by GPI on August 14, 2009

Flow Meter Application:

The GM Series Meter monitors flowrate of fuel usage in two diesel powered boilers. The steam produced is used in the facility. The meter records totals and flowrate on the local display then transmits a 4-20 mA signal to the PLC allowing for greater monitoring and control throughout the facility.

Flow Meter Problem:

The customer needed to monitor the consumption rate of the generator from a remote location. Control of different systems within this facility is critical.

Posted in GPI Polls by GPI on June 8, 2009

The last couple of months have been pretty hectic in my GPI web/new media world.  I have been doing some spring cleaning in our online catalog.  In this new digital world things don’t literally “pile up” but they do grow.  I spent a good part of my time cleaning(or deleting) some of our old manuals from our database to keep everything nice and organized.  This task had to be done carefully because you never want to delete something you shouldn’t.  I am still going through some of these files to make sure we are current on all of our flow meter products.

I also started to think about what our next flow meter video should be.  Mr. Matt Logan (the guy you will probably talk to if you call us) and I discussed some of the topics we think would be beneficial to our customers.  I decided to put these topics in a poll so that you could vote for the one you would like for us to shoot.  I will only post some of the topics we discussed. However, if you have a topic you would like for us to cover please feel free to write it in.
